TUXPAN Total signed an agreement with Tuxpan Port Terminal and Servicios y Terminales de Tuxpan to become the anchor customer of Terminal Internacional de Fluidos de Tuxpan (TIFT), which will start operations in the second half of 2020.

In a statement, the French company indicated that through its subsidiary Total Atlantic Trading Mexico, it will have the largest capacity in this facility, strategically located on the coasts of the state of Veracruz.

In this way, with better access to the Mexican market, it will directly provide its refined products, mainly diesel and gasoline to customers, with an improvement in continuity, reliability and supply competitiveness.

This commitment, according to Total, will also improve the group's ability to supply its network of fuel stations in the country, which is expanding.

The senior vice president for America of Marketing & Services, Isabelle Gaildraud, assured that the compromised capacity, combined with the competitive advantages, will allow the company and its network of service stations to develop a leadership role in the market of fuel stations in Mexico City and Valle de Mexico.

Total has opened more than 100 service stations during the last year and plans to reach 250 service stations by the end of 2019 and more than 400 by the end of 2020.
