Ram heavy duty trucks pricing to range from US$35,000 to more than US$80,000

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced its new 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty pickup truck, which debuted earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show, will have a starting price of US$35,090, including a US$1,695 destination fee. The Ram 3500 will start at US$36,540 including the destination fee.
The 2019 Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab commercial trucks – unveiled earlier this month at the Chicago Auto Show – will start at US$36,445, including the destination fee, the automaker said Tuesday.
The new vehicles are slated to arrive at showrooms across the U.S. market in the second quarter of this year.
FCA will offer a wide range of configurations and trim levels. The starting price is for the two-wheel-drive Ram 2500 Tradesman regular cab. If you want a 4x4 model, it takes another US$2,900 to that price. Upgrading from the gasoline V-8 to the diesel I-6 adds another US$9,100.
The diesel-powered Ram 3500 is the first HD pickup to produce up to 1,000 pound-feet of torque, coming an optional high-output Cummins turbo-diesel 6.7-liter engine rated at 400 horsepower and available only in the 3500 series. That engine, mated to an Aisin six-speed transmission, adds another US$11,795 to the cost.
The top of the range Ram 3500 Limited Mega Cab 4×4 with a 12-inch dash touch screen comes in at US$68,745 including the destination fee. But if you add the high-output diesel engine, that brings the total up to US$80,540.
The all-new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty pickup trucks, including 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab commercial trucks are built at the FCA Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in the northern state of Coahuila.
