California manufacturer Compass Made opens production facility in Chihuahua

Compass Made, a contract manufacturer headquartered in Fremont, California, has officially opened a manufacturing site for fuel injection harnesses in the town of Puerto Palomas de Villa, Chihuahua, just across the border from Columbus, New Mexico.

According to a statement, the company plans to invest up to US$80 million and to open 300 job positions in the long term.

“We are beginning with one production line for fuel injection harnesses and our plans are to increase in the long-term our workforce up to 300 workers,” said Salvador Moreno, plant manager.

Compass Made has additional manufacturing facilities in Deming, New Mexico, 2 facilities in Guadalajara and now Palomas, Mexico.

The company provides cable and harness design, engineering, and manufacturing, as well as electromechanical manufacturing and assembly.
