MEXICO  With a presence in more than 25 customs offices in the country, the company Grupo Alianza Estratégica Portuaria (GAEP) based in Manzanillo has managed to position itself as one of the most important integral logistics operators in the country, not only in its headquarters port, where it is the leader in operations, but in other ports and internal customs.

Arturo Villaseñor Montemayor, deputy general director of Operations and Commercial of the firm, details that they have had a growth of 50% of income in the last two years, due to the increase in their volumes and the consolidation of new services.

In Manzanillo, for example, Grupo Alianza Estratégica Portuaria registered more than 28,000 customs clearance operations and managed to handle more than 25,000 containers in land freight during 2018, mainly due to the investments it has made in tripling its fleet of tractors and equipment for dry and refrigerated cargo, as well as strengthening relationship with strategic partners of motor transport to meet its high demand.

In Lázaro Cárdenas, the second most important port in the Pacific, the company was consolidated since its opening during 2014 and now provides other innovative solutions from the hand of shipping and terminals, both in import and export.

To continue distinguishing itself as the number one supplier in Manzanillo, Arturo Villaseñor says that this year the company will be investing in greater equipment for handling containers, in addition to continuing to provide efficient and safe operations in all other customs where it operates, increase volumes in Lázaro Cárdenas, San Luis Potosí, Querétaro and Tuxpan, among others; and position its representative offices in Altamira, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Mexico City.
