LA PAZ During 2018, the Baja Ferries company consolidated itself as the leading logistics-shipping group in the cargo and passenger ferry service in Mexico, as well as a key link in the logistics chain and the most important tourist flow in the Cortez Sea.

According to information from the firm, last year it formalized a Corporate Government that generates more economic value and achieved a transformation of its culture towards a sustainable company.

With 15 years of activity in the maritime sector, Baja Ferries acquired in 2018 the ship "Mexico Star", the largest in Latin America of its kind with capacity to transport 2,700 linear meters of cargo and 200 passengers.

"Through our vessels we connect Baja California Sur and the rest of the country. We design integral solutions for the handling of merchandise offering multimodal services according to the needs of each of our clients, "explained the company.

In this way, through its subsidiary, Transportadora GEOS, it complements its maritime services to offer a terrestrial and multimodal logistics platform. GEOS offers door-to-door logistics solutions and adds value to the supply chain by incorporating "a quality service in land transport of goods, storage and distribution".

In addition, Baja Ferries achieved a strategic alliance with Ferromex to provide a multimodal transportation service proposal from Mexico City to La Paz and Los Cabos, in Baja California Sur.

Currently, Baja Ferries has five ships: Mexico Star, California Star, Baja Star, Balandra Star and Mini Star, with which it covers different routes such as La Paz-Mazatlán-La Paz; and, La Paz-Topolobampo-La Paz, where last year displaced 1,685,385 linear meters of cargo, more than 2 million tons in consumer goods and raw materials, as well as 304,000 passengers.
