Senoplast Klepsch & Co. GmbH, an Austria-based manufacturer of co-extruded semi-finished plastic sheets and films for thermoforming applications, recently broke ground in Queretaro to build its fourth production line.

The company plans to invest US$9 million and to open 20 new job positions which will add to the current workforce of 100 people.

According to company officials, US$2.5 million will be allocated to build the premises and US$6.5 million will be invested in equipment. The new production line is slated to start operations in September.

The plant started operations in 2000 and currently has a production capacity of 40,000 tons per year. The company did not disclose how much the output will increase with the new production line.

Senoplast offers its products for automotive and vehicle technology, bathroom and wellness, sanitary and refrigeration, white goods, advertising industry, furniture films, door panels, packaging and leisure applications.

For instance, some body parts of the Sea Doo personal water crafts that Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) produces in a nearby plant are manufactured with materials supplied by Senoplast.
