LS Automotive invests US$61 million in Nuevo León

APODACA The state of Nuevo Leon keeps attracting investments, and the auto parts sector continues to grow.

Yesterday, the South Korean company LS Automotive announced that it invested US$61 million in order to install a facility at Finsa de Guadalupe Industrial Park in Nuevo León.

The auto parts company generated 100 direct jobs, although gradually they will open 1,000 job positions.

LS Automotive stated that its factory has a production area of 40,000 square meters, where they will manufacture seat control, steering wheel and speed switches, as well as other technologies. The Asian company confirmed that they also plan to install a technology development center in Nuevo León.

It should be noted that this is the first factory that LS Automotive has in Mexico, which is added to others that operate in South Korea, China, Japan, India, Germany and the United States.

For his part, Lee Cheol-Woo, CEO of LS Automotive, said that they decided to operate in Mexico since it is the 6th car manufacturer in the world, with a production of 4 million units during 2018.

LS Automotive is a supplier of Honda, Kia, Mazda, Hyundai, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota and Suzuki.
