MEXICO The average salary in Querétaro has kept its competitiveness, and ranks as the third highest among the states of the country, according to data from Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS).

The information of the IMSS indicates that last January the salary associated to the insured workers with them was US$ 22.13 daily in the state, which means an increase of 7.2% compared to the first month of 2018.

The salary level in the entity is only below the average figure associated with the insured workers in the IMSS of Mexico City, with US$24.58 per day, and Campeche, with US$22.30.

Throughout the year, the perceptions of the workers kept an upward trend in the entity, in general terms, with some ups and downs between September and November of 2018.

With respect to the rest of the states of the Bajío, data from Seguro Social indicates a 7.5% annual increase in the average salary in Aguascalientes, with US$18.69 per day in January; as well as an increase of 7.9% in Guanajuato, with an average daily salary of US$16.92.

With an income of US$19.62 per day during January, San Luis Potosí reached, an increase of 8.2% in comparison with figures reported during the first month of 2018.
