GUADALAJARA — Red de Clústeres Automotrices de Mexico plans to attract foreign suppliers of the automotive sector that currently have buyers in Mexico, but have not decided yet to install their production plants here because they do not know about the market size that could be satisfied.

"We call it the location fast track; we know that there are supplier companies abroad that are interested in coming to Mexico; they already sell to one or two companies here, but the volume is not enough for them to consider opening facilities here, "explained Alexandre Burgueño Rodríguez, general director of the network.

He added that the agency has a survey format that will distribute to the companies of the sector affiliated to the automotive clusters that make up the network, so that "they recommend us to their supplier companies, which are interested in coming to Mexico, but that do not come because they do not have the certainty that there’s an existing market to do it ".

Burgueño Rodríguez pointed out that once this information is concentrated, the network will have a suppliers catalog interested in investing in Mexico and will provide the information to the state governments so that they said investments can be achieved in their respective entities. Currently, nine automotive clusters participate in the network, which together represent more than 600 companies in the automotive sector.
