QUERETARO With an investment of more than US$260,535, an Embedded Software Laboratory was put into operation at the Technological University of Querétaro (Uteq).

It is a clear example of the correct application of the triple helix model, since in order to consolidate said project, the collaboration of the government, the industry and academia was required, said, the minister of Sustainable Development of the state, Marco del Prete.

This laboratory, he informed, will specialize in giving attention to micro, small and medium enterprises, which will create a productive chain with the 'anchor' companies installed in the state.

The rector of the Uteq, José Carlos Arredondo Velázquez, said that the university has been given a vocation as an innovation center in Industry 4.0.

"Allies began to emerge to form something we call Ecosystem and some of them were precisely companies with the embedded software theme, with whom we wanted to promote a local strategy for the needs in the subject".

Arredondo Velazquez stressed that this project has yielded fruits in abundance, which he hopes will be extended to the region, so that the states involved will see themselves as a vanguard area at the national level in Industry 4.0
