ZACATECAS – The Chinese company Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) and the Government of Zacatecas signed a framework agreement, in order to build and promote the future Zacatecas Industrial Park (PIZ).

The initial investment will be of US$104 million and the objective will be to specialize this region within the automotive, aerospace and metal mechanic industry, generating by the year 2026 about 6,500 direct and 7,000 indirect jobs.

During said signing, Alejandro Tello, governor of Zacatecas and Zhou Xing, vice president of CGGC were present.  It is important to mention that this is a one-of-a-kind agreement since it is the first association that arises between a Chinese parastatal company and the Mexican government.

The estimations indicate that the culmination of the Zacatecas Industrial Park will have required a total investment of US$300 million, which implies the arrival of more Chinese companies to the entity, within an area of approximately 47.9 hectares.

CGGC is a transnational company with presence in more than 100 countries, founded in 1970. It specializes in the design, construction and operation of new energies, as well as civil works.
