MEXICO – The rector of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Enrique Graue, and the president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin), Francisco Cervantes, signed an agreement to boost the country's industrial and economic development.

This agreement proposes a collaboration between the academic and private sectors to strengthen and create areas of opportunity in companies, as well as to combat the country's poverty. "We need talent and related careers to grow. We can fight poverty if we prepare people adequately, "said Cervantes.

The most outstanding points of the alliance are: the collaboration between members of UNAM and Concamin to identify and promote research, as well as the development of technologies; conducting studies on issues relevant to industry, and the incorporation of digital technologies in all sectors.

"The mission of the University is to develop human resources and offer solutions to the problems of the nation. We want to promote economic development that will serve future generations, "Graue stressed.
