HUNUCMÁ – The industrial park of Hunucmá will continue its expansion with the establishment of two new japan-based plants of the automotive industry, which will generate at least 3,000 new jobs.

The mayor of Hunucmá, Alberto Padrón Romero, stated last Monday that he is in coordination with the State Government to provide the facilities for the establishment of these companies and that at the same time he began the construction of a new commercial plaza, the first one in the area.

"We have the arrival of two new companies to Hunucmá, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal will formally make the announcement. These are companies in the automotive industry, which will sell auto parts to many different brands, these companies come directly from Japan, and the goal is to create 3,000 direct jobs.

Padrón Romero indicated that they are looking for Hunucmá to consolidate in the industry branch and that as municipal administration they are creating the conditions for the arrival of new investments.

"There is a space of seven hectares in which a commercial plaza is being built and we are really looking to promote the establishment of things that we do not have in the municipality such as banks," he explained.
