MERIDA — This year, Yucatan has followed a work strategy focused on the promotion of the state, which has contributed to investment attraction and the creation of jobs, said Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal.

During the inauguration of the NH Collection Mérida Paseo Montejo Hotel, he stated that during the first nine months of his administration, investments that amount to more than US$1.6 billion have been carried out and 71,130 job positions have been opened.

He stressed that just this month, nine companies (national and international) dedicated to various sectors, such as real estate, agribusiness and hotel, announced investments worth US$959 million.

Among said investments, the Kuo Group stands out, which will invest US$351 million for the expansion of new lines in its food processing plant and that will benefit the Tixpéhual municipality by creating 3,000 direct jobs.
