DENSO invests US$ 6.7 million in Coahuila

FRONTERA — By early August, the Japan-based DENSO supplier will carry out an expansion in Coahuila and will generate 500 new jobs.

Yasmín Asís García, local director of Economic Development in the municipality of Frontera, Coahuila, stated that everything is ready, so construction works on said expansion will begin during the first days of the next month.  

It is important to mention that the border municipality plant was established in 2001, and currently has 975 employees; DENSO is one of the ten largest automotive suppliers in the world, and in the first stage of its expansion, it will add 15,000 square meters of operations.  

For this expansion, the Japanese company has allocated an investment of approximately US$ 6.7 million; said extension is expected to be completed in a period of 8 to 12 months in order to be inaugurated in the summer of 2020
