Hirotec to invest US$57 million in San Luis Potosi

SAN LUIS POTOSÍ — After holding a meeting with executives of the Japanese company Hirotec, the state governor, Juan Manuel Carreras Lopez, thanked the leading company for investing in San Luis Potosí and trusting the talent and capacity of the entity for the installation of the plant that is currently being built in the Logistik I industrial park, which will be the supplier of the German BMW manufacturer and companies in the Central-Bajio-West region.

Carreras Lopez stressed that Hirotec will invest US$57 million in the state and added that there are currently 63 Japanese companies in the entity, 48 of them are dedicated to the automotive sector. Among these companies there is Nidek Sankyo, Meiwa Sanyo, Zeon Kasei and Taxan, which will add to San Luis Potosi, a global investment of more than US$114 million and will generate 620 job positions.

Hirotec’s first stone was laid in January 2017 and its operations are expected to start during the last two months of 2019.
