CIUDAD VALLES — Recently, Mayor Adrián Esper Cárdenas announced the construction project of an industrial park to be built in the north area of Ciudad Valles in order to attract large companies, including a maquila plant in the aeronautical sector; the park will cover an area of 500 hectares.
Esper Cárdenas commented that he already approached the Ministry of Economic Development seeking to create jobs by attracting companies to the region. He stressed that even when one of the outstanding economic activities of Ciudad Valles is tourism, it is also important to promote other sectors, such as industry, due to the need to end with decades of economic lag existing in the municipality.
Finally, the mayor stated that during the next visit of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to Ciudad Valles, a work agenda will be set up, in which the boost of economic development not only of the city, but of the entire Huasteca region will be a priority.
