MEXICO CITY — Within the next three years, the Siemens company plans to invest US$420 million in Mexico regarding energy and health infrastructure projects, said the CEO for Mexico and Central America of the firm, Juan Ignacio Díaz. In addition, during the next 10 years, the company plans to invest US$20 million in the field of research and development with the aim of turning Mexico into an innovative country and promoting a dual education system in the country. The executive stressed that the firm has invested more than US$2 million in projects regarding sustainable matters, with the goal of reducing 60% of CO2 emissions from its operations in the country by 2026.
