2026 Cadillac Optiq-V Makes Its Debut at Dealerships Nationwide

General Motors has begun selling the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V in Mexico. This electric SUV is manufactured in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, and is part of the brand’s fifth generation of V-Series models, which are known for combining luxury with high performance.

The vehicle stands out for its sporty appearance, featuring an exclusive front end that includes a redesigned fascia and a lower V-pattern grille available in carbon fiber, which adds a front splitter, as well as a rear diffuser and spoiler made of the same material.

The exterior design elements combine to create a sporty aesthetic, with blue accents on the rear windows, where Cadillac’s precision pattern features accents in the same shade inspired by the V-Series badge. It also features a standard black painted roof and a fixed panoramic glass roof.

Other distinctive Optiq-V elements include the iconic V-Series badges adorning the doors and tailgate, as well as the driver-side side grille.

It comes equipped with 21-inch satin graphite alloy wheels, paired with matching low-profile sport tires that complement the high-performance Brembo brakes featuring the distinctive V-Series emblem, as well as red brake calipers.

The SUV features all-wheel drive, a twin-motor setup, and an estimated 519 horsepower (hp) and 650 pound-feet of torque, delivering powerful and dynamic acceleration powered by Velocity Max, a selectable feature that unlocks the vehicle’s full potential.

The V-Mode driving mode allows you to save performance-focused settings such as Competitive Mode, which is enabled via the “V” button on the steering wheel or through the Drive Mode app on the 33-inch LED screen.

Another of its most notable features is the inclusion of Launch Control, designed to provide consistent straight-line acceleration. Activated in V-Mode or Velocity Max, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.8 seconds.

Competitive Mode activates a set of traction management features specifically designed to improve the vehicle’s handling on the track, thanks to a suspension system equipped with Continuous Damping Control and an internal valve that reads the road surface and adjusts in milliseconds.

“The Cadillac Optiq-V is a key addition to the portfolio of vehicles bearing the V-Series sub-brand, with the aim of attracting new customers and strengthening the brand’s global impact,” said Wilberto del Ángel, Director of Product Marketing at General Motors de México.

The executive explained that for more than two decades, V-Series models have incorporated high-performance technologies and insights gained from motorsports.

The Cadillac Optiq-V was developed with a focus on achieving a harmonious balance between aerodynamics, weight distribution, agility, and safety.

Exclusive Technology

The interior of the Cadillac Optiq-V features details that reinforce its track-focused essence and integrate innovative technology.

It offers two interior color options: Noir or Noir and Sky Cool Gray, both with accents in Santorini Blue.

An optional interior palette is also available, featuring a perforated seatback panel and a Santorini Blue seatbelt.

To enhance its sporty appearance, the Cadillac Optiq-V exclusively features a dark patterned fabric made from 100% recycled yarn. Additionally, the interior door panels feature eye-catching stitching in Santorini Blue.
The center console features standard carbon fiber trim, while the steering wheel, door sills, and floor mats incorporate the V-Series emblem. Ambient lighting themes linked to the different driving modes bring the spirit of this SUV to life.
Safety and Services
The Cadillac Optiq-V includes 24 months of the Essentials package, OnStar’s most comprehensive suite of safety and emergency services, as well as unlimited data to connect up to 7 mobile devices to the internet via its Wi-Fi hotspot.
With Google Integrated functionality, the Optiq-V allows access to apps such as Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, and audiobooks, among others, and streams video from apps like Prime Video and HBO Max directly through the vehicle’s infotainment system, without needing to connect any mobile device.
Through the MyCadillac app, in addition to familiar commands such as locking and unlocking the vehicle or turning it on and off, customers can view key metrics for their EV, such as battery charge percentage and available range, as well as locate charging stations or plan their route.
Thanks to General Motors’ modular battery platform, the Cadillac Optiq-V features over-the-air updates; in other words, the vehicle’s software stays up to date without customers having to visit a dealership.

When it comes to sound design, Cadillac engineers worked to deliver the ultimate experience by incorporating a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system, which turns every drive into an immersive experience.

The Optiq-V features Sound Enhancement, an exclusive sound signature inside and outside the vehicle. With this feature, drivers can choose from more subtle modes to energetic settings that complement the powertrain’s acceleration.

The Cadillac Optiq-V is equipped with an 85 kWh battery, providing a range of over 440 kilometers on a full charge.

Additionally, it is the first General Motors vehicle to feature a port based on the North American Charging Standard (NACS), reinforcing the company’s commitment to simplifying the electric vehicle customer experience and moving toward a unified, open charging standard.

All of this is supported by a comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistance features that includes, among other functions, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot steering assist, enhanced automatic emergency braking, HD surround view, and advanced parking assist.
