Optical network proposed to boost communication between airports in the Valley of Mexico
MEXICO CITY - The establishment of an optical network could boost communication and streamline operations at Mexico City International Airport (AICM), Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) and Toluca International Airport (AIT), said Huawei Mexico.
According to the company, through a high bandwidth private line for optical transport, the three airports could be connected 24/7 and improve decision making and information management.
"You can trace a fiber optic network from AIFA to Toluca via federal, aerial or subway routes, forming a ring, which will provide high availability of communications," the company said during the Huawei Latin America Eco-Connect Summit 2024.
"It's your highway from one airport to another, you will be able to share the information you want. In addition, the speed at which data is transmitted exceeds that of conventional networks," he added.
The solutions proposed by the Chinese company also include mining, fuels, health and education. The technologies they use and seek to promote include artificial intelligence and big data, among others.
The Huawei Latin America Eco-Connect Summit 2024 brought together partners from the ICT industry in Latin America and various sectors such as government, finance, energy, transportation, coal mining and Internet service providers.
