UTAS-NOVA Automotive Lighting to produce in Aguascalientes

UTAS-NOVA Automotive Lighting Systems, a company originally from China, has begun construction of a manufacturing plant in the city of Aguascalientes, which will involve an investment of US$50 million and the creation of more than 250 new jobs, according to announcements made by the company itself and state authorities at the event.
The industrial headquarters is being built on a 6.5-hectare site located in the Vesta Industrial Park, south of this city in the Bajío region.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Tony Chang, founder and CEO of the company, which, as its name suggests, specializes in the manufacture of exterior lighting systems for the global automotive industry.

Chang said the facility will have the capacity to manufacture “6 million exterior lights, fog lights, and brake lights annually, as well as 500,000 headlights and 500,000 taillights.”
The company was founded in 1994 and has production plants in the cities of Danyang and Hefei, as well as representative offices in Shanghai and Detroit.
Its client portfolio includes globally recognized names such as General Motors, Ford, Honda, and Caterpillar, as well as Chinese automakers such as Nio, Xpeng, JAC, Geely, SAIC, and Foton.
