The New Audi Q3 and Its Sportback Variant Arrive in Mexico

The brand with the four rings has begun distributing the third generation of the Audi Q3 and its Q3 Sportback variant in Mexico. This model is one of the brand’s most successful vehicles and a top performer in the global premium compact segment, with over two million units sold since the launch of its first version.
Compared to its predecessor, the new Audi Q3 stands out with a wide Singleframe grille positioned high up and sleek headlights integrated into the vehicle’s aerodynamic design, ensuring particularly efficient airflow around the front end.
The controllable cooling air intake is located below the Singleframe grille and ensures that airflow can circulate with minimal losses.
Parking sensors are also installed in this area, while the sensors for the driver assistance systems are located behind the four-ring logo.

Viewed from the side, a horizontal line between the headlights and taillights visually divides the car, creating a light effect in which the upper section catches the light while the lower section remains in shadow.
The distinctive fender flares that emerge boldly from the shoulders around the front and rear wheels evoke the original quattro, with split taillights and a sleek, precisely drawn light strip that runs cleanly across the entire width of the vehicle to create a clean look.
The second generation of the Audi Q3 Sportback combines the advantages and versatility of an SUV—such as easy access, excellent visibility, and practical interior layout—with the aesthetics of a coupe.

Its roofline, which slopes down from the A-pillar, is 29 mm lower than that of the SUV, giving the Q3 Sportback an even sportier look and a more agile silhouette.
The reduced body volume at the rear makes the wheel arches appear even wider, while the glazed surface of the body gives the coupé-style design an even more avant-garde look.
The S line edition is available as an option. It features specific front and rear bumpers and additional elements in Selenite Silver, as well as 19-inch Audi Sport wheels and an S line interior with sport seats in a fabric/microfiber combination featuring an S embossing.
It also includes the comfort key with Safe Lock, lane departure warning and exit warning, front emergency braking assist, LED plus headlights, and LED pro taillights.
The new Q3 comes standard with 18- and 19-inch wheels. The Dynamic and Select versions include 18-inch wheels. For the S line version, a total of four 19-inch wheel designs are offered, two of which are 5-spoke Audi Sport wheels.
The vehicle’s aerodynamics and overall acoustics have been significantly improved compared to the previous model. In addition to the drag coefficient of 0.30, special attention has been paid to acoustic comfort.
The SUV is the first Audi model in the compact segment to offer acoustic glazing in the front windows. Combined with a special PVB-A interlayer between the two panes of glass, this creates a harmonious acoustic concept with a noticeable improvement in driving comfort.

Digital Companion
With the interior of the Q3, Audi brings the digital experience of the luxury class to the compact segment. An innovative operating concept and numerous driver-assistance systems enhance safety and comfort, making the Audi Q3 the “ideal digital companion for everyday life,” according to the brand.
Compared to the previous model, the design and functionality have been significantly improved. Its high-contrast design deliberately places elements in the foreground or background, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
The area known as the Softwrap extends from the doors across the entire width of the dashboard, emphasizing the horizontal alignment to achieve a maximum sense of space. The 11.9-inch (30.2 cm) panoramic display with digital instrumentation and the 12.8-inch (32.5 cm) MMI touchscreen make up the so-called Digital Stage.
Its curved design creates a driver-oriented cabin layout, while a head-up display with key information complements the digital screens.
The new steering wheel control unit offers significant practical advantages. For the first time, it integrates two new levers into the steering column, providing more storage space in the center console, a new user experience, and a greater sense of spaciousness.
The lever on the right serves as a gear selector, while the one on the left controls the lighting and windshield wiper functions. The cooled inductive charging tray with 15 watts of charging power, which includes two USB-C ports, can be closed with a sliding cover. In the rear, there are two additional USB-C ports.
In the dark, various lighting packages (Ambient Light Package Plus/Pro) enhance the interior ambiance. The ambient lights on the dashboard and center console emphasize the clean lines of the interior.
The trunk volume is 488 liters, but if the rear seat is slid all the way forward and the backrest is set to an upright position, the capacity increases to 575 liters.
With the rear seats folded down, the Audi Q3’s cargo space increases to 1,386 liters for the SUV and up to 1,289 liters in the Sportback. As standard, the rear seats can be moved forward and backward and feature adjustable backrest angles.

Wide Range of Engines
When it comes to engines, the Audi Q3 offers a wide selection. The Dynamic and Select versions feature a 1.4 TFSI engine delivering 150 horsepower (hp), an S tronic transmission, and front-wheel drive. The Sport and S line versions are available with a 2.0 TFSI engine producing 204 hp and quattro all-wheel drive.
The Select version of the new Q3 Sportback includes a 1.4 TFSI engine that generates 150 hp and features front-wheel drive. The S line and Sport versions feature a 2.0 TFSI engine with 204 hp, S tronic transmission, and quattro all-wheel drive.
The Audi Q3 can tow up to 2,100 kilograms.

Eleven exterior colors are available for the new Audi Q3, including the solid paint finishes Arkona White, Glacier White Metallic, Mito Black Metallic, Arrow Grey Pearl, Daytona Grey, Tambora Grey, Progressive Red Metallic, and Navarra Blue Metallic.
With the launch of the Q3 Sportback, Malpelo Blue Metallic is introduced across the entire Audi Q3 family. Added to these are the new colors Sage Green Metallic and the exclusive Madeira Brown with a pearl-matte finish.
Daytona Gray, Tambora Gray, and Madeira Brown with a pearl-matte finish are also available for the S line version.
The Q3 SUV is available in the Mexican market in the following trims: Dynamic, Select, Sport, and S Line, while the Sportback is offered in the Select, Sport, and S Line trims, with starting prices ranging from 864,900 pesos for the Dynamic-trimmed SUV to 1,079,900 pesos for the S Line-trimmed Sportback.
Since 2018, the vehicle has been produced at Audi’s plant in Győr, Hungary. However, in anticipation of strong demand, the company will establish an integrated production network with its headquarters in Ingolstadt. The bodies for this additional volume will be manufactured in Győr and then painted and assembled at the German plant.
