Nissan Versa exceeds its sales target in the Mexican market

Nissan Mexicana highlighted the significance of the Nissan Versa for the domestic automotive industry after the model surpassed one million units sold in the Mexican market since its launch in 2011.
Over more than 15 years in the country, the sedan has established itself as one of the automaker’s most important vehicles, as well as one of its best-selling models in the Mexican market.
Since production of the 2026 Nissan Versa began at the Aguascalientes A1 plant, the company has strengthened its role in Mexico; this facility—considered one of the most important in the region—has produced more than 8 million vehicles and operates with the support of over 4,800 employees and a network of 104 Mexican suppliers.
According to the company, the model maintains a focus on design, efficiency, comfort, and driver-assistance technologies. Among the systems available across different versions of the vehicle are Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Intelligent Peripheral Vision Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Cruise Control, and Lane Keeping Assist.
By producing the 2026 model domestically, Nissan aims to maintain the competitiveness of one of its most iconic vehicles while strengthening Mexico’s manufacturing capacity as a production hub for the global automotive industry.
