Aerolineas Ejecutivas de Mexico purchases 12 Cessna Citation aircraft

Aerolineas Ejecutivas de Mexico placed an order for 12 Cessna Citation business jets from Textron Aviation to be operated in its fractional ownership division MexJet.

The acquisition is comprised of Cessna Citation Latitude, Citation CJ3 Gen2 and Citation CJ3 Gen3 models and the first four deliveries are expected in 2026 (two Citation Latitude and two CJ3 Gen2).

"At Executive Airlines, we will continue to prioritize the safety of all our customers. Our commitment is reflected in our actions. We continue to grow, invest and offer unparalleled service," said Arturo Ortega, president of the company.

With this order, Aerolíneas Ejecutivas will reinforce its position as a business aviation company in the country, which revolutionized the market by implementing the Mexjet Jetcard in 1997, a model in which the customer only pays for the hours he/she needs.

It currently has Citation Latitude and Citation CJ3+ aircraft in its fleet.

"Cessna Citation business jets are ideal for fractional ownership customers seeking class-leading comfort and performance. The Citation's operating economics, coupled with Textron Aviation's extensive service and support network, ensure continued productivity and enjoyment throughout the ownership experience," said Marcelo Moreira, vice president of sales for Latin America.

The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen 2 and CJE Gen 3 models seat eight to nine passengers, have a maximum flight range of 3,778 kilometers and a payload of 2,508 kilograms.

The Cessna Citation Latitude can accommodate up to nine passengers, has a maximum flight range of 5,000 kilometers (with four passengers) and can carry a payload of 453 kilograms.
