Aerospace industry provides more jobs: Marco Del Prete

Querétaro hosted the Mexico Supplier Symposium 2025, organized by Canadian company Bombardier Aerospace, which manufactures business aircraft.

This event brought together key players in the national and international aerospace ecosystem with the aim of promoting innovation, strengthening academic collaboration, and fostering the development of suppliers in Mexico.

During the event, Bombardier executives announced a new investment of US$18 million to expand their plant in our state.

The news is particularly significant because it comes on the 20th anniversary of Bombardier's arrival in Querétaro, an event that marked the beginning of the aerospace industry in the state. Two decades later, the company is taking a new step: expanding its production and technological capacity, consolidating its confidence in Querétaro's talent.

This expansion will result in the creation of 246 highly specialized jobs, reflecting the sustained growth and quality of the local workforce.

It is worth noting that the aerospace industry based in Querétaro is a driver of technological innovation, with high investment in research and development that integrates artificial intelligence, composite materials, and sustainable practices. It is precisely in these fields that Bombardier will create new job opportunities, focused on high technology and specialized industrial development.

Twenty years ago, the establishment of Bombardier Aerospace in Querétaro was officially announced. Since then, the company has been a pillar of industrial development and a trainer of local talent, driving the consolidation of a world-class aerospace cluster.

Today, the state is the national leader in the commercialization of turbojets, turboprops, gas turbines, and aerospace components, according to 2024 figures.

Given the number of jobs that will be created, the amount of investment, and the strengthening of technological development, this is great news for Querétaro and for Mexico. It is another step that confirms that, here, our efforts are yielding results.
