Aerospace Sector comes up with over 43 mil jobs in Mexico

A world class business with annual revenues over US$450 billion and counting and a workforce of more than 43 thousand people, the Aerospace sector in Mexico has been going through massive expansion over the last years, assured Mario Lozoya Diaz Velez, Mexico VP of Delegations at the Chamber of the Transformation Industry(Canacintra). Mexico's Aerospace exports exceed US$5 billion, with an annual growth of 17.2%, according to data from the Ministry of Economy and ProMexico, and about 287 companies focused on or related to this industry. Safran Group, Bombardier, Lear, General Electric, Honeywell, located in Queretaro, Chihuahua and Baja California, are some of the most relevant names among the Sector. All of this companies operate with the highest standards of specialization and qualified labor. "Now, the next step for Mexico is to spring forward, not just stay as maquila, and begin with new types of education to address this Sector", said Lozoya Diazvelez.
