Agreement signed to strengthen MSMEs in Chihuahua

The Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE) signed a collaboration agreement with the Mexican Competitiveness Center (CCMX) with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the state.
The agreement was signed by Ulises Fernández, head of SIDE, and Juan Carlos Ostolaza Cortés, general director of CCMX. Edwin Ricardo Bustos, director of Emprendemos A.C., and representatives of the Federal Ministry of Economy also participated.
The CCMX is an initiative of the Mexican Business Council, made up of 58 corporations, which seeks to strengthen MSMEs through consulting, training, talent development, and supply chain linkages.
At the state level, SIDE promotes business programs focused on innovation, financing, and links with strategic sectors. As part of these actions, resources have been channeled through the State Trust for the Promotion of Productive Activities (Fideapech) and the Impulso NAFIN program, with an investment of over one billion pesos.
In addition, 65 million pesos have been allocated to the State Fund for Science, Technology, and Innovation (FECTI) for the development of technological projects.
The agreement with CCMX seeks to leverage a national platform to expand collaboration between local companies and large corporations, as well as to strengthen the integration of MSMEs into high-impact value chains.
