Altea invests US$6.9 million in the expansion of Bajío Industrial Park

Altea Desarrollos invested US$6.9 million to expand new warehouses at Bajío Industrial Park, its complex located in Salamanca, Guanajuato.
This involves Warehouse 06 and the start of work on Warehouse 10, projects that add to the US$65.4 million in accumulated investment and cover 24 hectares.
According to the firm, the first building had an investment of US$4.4 million, allowing for the creation of up to 150 jobs. On the other hand, the second building required US$2.5 million and is projected to create up to 75 additional jobs.
In this regard, he pointed out that this expansion will attract more domestic and foreign companies to the state, boosting regional competitiveness.
He also stated that Bajío Industrial Park is one of the most advanced and best-connected parks in the area, driven by automotive clusters, industrial corridors, and different value chains.
During the event, Libia Dennise García, governor of the state, shared that investments such as this represent more jobs for the people of Guanajuato.
In this context, she stated that it will not only boost Salamanca but also nearby municipalities such as Celaya, Cortazar, Villagrán, Pénjamo, and Abasolo.
“The region will be integrated into a production chain linked to sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and auto parts.”
Claudio Navarrete, director of Industrial Development at Altea Desarrollos, indicated that Bajío Industrial Park is a project that has been in the works and planning stages for more than 10 years. He added that this investment is the second largest ever made in Salamanca.
