Assemblers attracted by high quality labor force

Even though it is said that the low cost of the Mexican labor force is its only attractive for the automotive industry, experts are pointing out that it is also qualified labor force, which has gained experience with the years. Nowadays, Mexico is the seventh largest vehicle producer in the world, according to data from the International Association of Automotive assemblers in 2016, with 3,597,000 units. Â There are currently nine assemblers operating in Mexico distributed over 15 States: FCA Mexico, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen, whose finished products stay in the national market and are also exported to over 90 different countries.
