Bombardier Querétaro hosts Supplier Symposium 2025

The head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU), Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, inaugurated Bombardier's Supplier Symposium 2025, an event that brought together representatives from the aerospace industry, academics, and authorities to strengthen the supply ecosystem in the sector.

During his participation, Del Prete presented the paper “Boosting the aerospace industry through strategic supplier development and financing opportunities in Mexico,” in which he highlighted the importance of integrating efforts between government, academia, and business.

The official thanked Bombardier for organizing the meeting, considering that “it is a way to put the triple helix to work to meet the needs of the industry.” He added that “Querétaro is a different place since Bombardier arrived, as they have helped develop the aerospace industry in the state.”

Del Prete emphasized that the aerospace industry in Querétaro stands out as a driver of technological innovation, thanks to investment in research that integrates artificial intelligence, composite materials, and sustainable practices, as well as promoting the training of specialized talent.

For his part, Canada's ambassador to Mexico, Cameron McKay, recalled that “Bombardier's history began in Querétaro about 20 years ago, an investment that has been mutually beneficial for both regions and is proof that we do great things together.”

The diplomat highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral collaboration on defense and aeronautical innovation issues, noting that Canada continues to be a strategic partner for Mexico in technology and investment.

In turn, Bombardier's general manager and director of procurement, Shauna Gamble, stated that “the first edition of the symposium is full of collaboration, innovation, and sustainable progress,” aspects that, she said, “translate into new opportunities to consolidate the aerospace ecosystem.”

The Supplier Symposium 2025 reaffirms Querétaro's commitment to industrial excellence, sustainability, and global integration, positioning the state as one of the most dynamic hubs in the aerospace sector in Latin America.
