Bosch invests US$ 13 million in Jalisco’s engineering center, business accelerator

By 2020, German auto supplier Bosch will triple its workforce at the Guadalajara facilities, for that end the company currently invests US$ 13 million.
During an interview with El Economista, Vice president of Finances at Bosch Mexico, Gonzalo Simental, detailed that US$ 11 million of this budget will be destined to equipment for the Operation Center currently under construction while the rest, he explained, was already used in an Innovation Center inaugurated last week in the Jalisco state capital.
"We will continue to work in our Engineering Solutions Development Center. We started in 2014 with about 100 associates, we now have 400 and we are going to have 1,200 by 2020," added Marco Antonio Quero, manager of Corporate Communications for the company.
According to the executives, the German firm will maintain for a while its offices at the Digital Creative City (CCD) located at Guadalajara’s Downtown as they look for a new building in the area.
Last week, the company inaugurated the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centraal-Bosch dedicated to development of technology projects and the Internet of Things, which will start operations on August 14.
The center will provide spaces for collaboration and acceleration of technological entrepreneurship projects, as well as training rooms, content and academia.
Built on a 2,000 square-meter surface, Centraal-Bosch is the nation's largest accelerator for the Mexican entrepreneurs’ ecosystem.
