BRP starts production of electric models in Juarez

BRP's Juarez I plant has started production of its new Can-Am 2026 electric models, including the Can-Am Electric and Defender HD11 vehicles. With this line, the company seeks to strengthen its presence in the sustainable mobility sector, a market that is growing nationally and internationally.

During the launch ceremony, Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar highlighted the importance of the plant for the city and recognized the contribution of local workers to the development of electromobility. Pérez Cuéllar also pointed out that the facilities where BRP now operates were, for decades, the headquarters of RCA, a historic symbol of Juárez's industrial growth.

The new production phase comes at a time of expansion for the company, which is seeking to consolidate its electric technology strategy. With this investment, Ciudad Juárez reinforces its position as a leader in the automotive industry focused on sustainable mobility.

The mayor noted that the municipal government maintains constant dialogue with the industrial sector to attract investment and strengthen regional competitiveness. “Collaboration between local authorities and businesses is key to leveraging the talent and experience of our workforce,” he said during his speech.

BRP has stood out for maintaining operations in the city for years, and the opening of this new electric line represents another step toward the modernization of the industrial complex. Analysts point out that the commitment to electromobility not only responds to the growing demand for electric vehicles but also opens up training and employment opportunities for the region's inhabitants.
