Business Leaders and State Government Evaluate Industrial and Infrastructure Projects in Chihuahua

Governor Maru Campos met with key business leaders to review preliminary proposals aimed at boosting industrial growth and improving urban mobility in the city of Chihuahua. The working session focused on analyzing the technical, territorial, and financial feasibility of the initiatives.
The business delegation was led by Luis Enrique Terrazas Seyffert, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Ruba. The meeting, held at the Government Palace, also included the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Ulises Fernández; Tracende founder and CEO Daniel Gutiérrez; investor Eduardo Cortina; and State Cabinet Coordinator Jesús Carrillo.
Discussions centered on two key proposals. The first involves the potential creation of a new industrial complex in the state capital to meet the growing demand for manufacturing, logistics, and specialized service space. This demand is driven by new investments and the expansion of companies already established in Chihuahua. While specific dimensions, location, and cost estimates were not disclosed, developers indicated the project could be integrated into the region's existing industrial corridors.
The second proposal featured a preliminary design for the extension of the Francisco R. Almada ring road. This infrastructure project aims to expand road connectivity in an area where mobility has been constrained by rapid urban growth. According to the presentation, the expansion would improve travel times, facilitate access to industrial areas, and reduce congestion on currently overloaded alternate routes.
The state administration confirmed that both projects will now undergo a detailed review by the relevant government departments to determine the next steps. Although specific timelines and funding sources have not yet been defined, the government has committed to continuing its evaluation in collaboration with stakeholders and technical agencies.
