Campeche explores investments with China

In order to explore opportunities for investment and support in logistics, technological innovation, sustainable development and improvement of operations in the ports of Isla del Carmen and Seybaplaya, the general director of the Port Authority of Campeche (Apicam), Agapito Ceballos Fuentes, accompanied by the head of Sedeco, Jorge Lavalle Maury, met with the representative of the Port of Guangzhou, China, Ann Yuan Yue.

During the meeting held in Mexico City, the interest of one of the most important ports in China and the world in contributing its economic resources through the exchange of information, best practices, technical visits, development of work plans and mutual cooperation with the ports of Campeche was made clear.

Ceballos Fuentes emphasized the willingness and readiness of the Chinese port authorities to work, advise and share experience with Apicam, due to the strategic importance of the local ports and Guangzhou in their respective regions. Similarly, the desirability of boosting global trade and generating better international cooperation links was addressed.

On other issues, continuing with the strategy of promoting the countryside that Governor Layda Elena Sansores San Román entrusted to the head of the Ministry of Agricultural Development (SDA), Ramón Gabriel Ochoa Peña, work is continuing on the conditioning, construction and rehabilitation of harvest roads for the benefit of producers throughout the state.

On this occasion, 2 kilometers of a harvest road were rehabilitated at Kilometer 74, in the municipality of Escárcega, benefiting more than 50 producers in the area, where Ochoa Peña supervised the progress of this work that helps to significantly reduce the time and effort needed to reach these producers' crops, and considerably reduces machinery wear and costs when going to their plots, making their work more efficient, in order to be able to offer even more attractive and competitive prices.

This support is in addition to the rehabilitation of more than 1,000 kilometers of harvest roads so far during this administration, which have benefited more than 18,000 agricultural producers, reaffirming the commitment of Layda Sansores' government to the development and prosperity of families that depend on the Campeche countryside.
