Celaya boosts aerospace industry with the manufacture of the Halcón 2

The municipal president, Juan Miguel Ramírez, visited the facilities of Horizontec, a company located at the Celaya aerodrome where the Halcón 2 is being built, the first aircraft to be considered 100 percent Mexican-made.
During the tour, Giovanni Angelucci, director of Horizontec, showed the mayor the complete process of design, modeling, prefabrication and assembly of the aircraft, as well as some of the flight tests performed as part of the quality control.
This visit was derived from the invitation made after the Mexican Aerospace Fair (FAMEX) 2025, in which Celaya stood out as a state leader in exports in the aerospace sector, with investment projections of up to 20 million dollars in the coming years.
During the meeting, Angelucci shared Horizontec's expansion plans, focused on meeting current orders, increasing production capacity and strengthening its workforce with specialized professionals and technicians.
Celaya thus consolidates its position as a national reference in aerospace innovation, generating opportunities for technological development and high-value employment.
