Chihuahua aerospace cluster visits Querétaro International Airport

Representatives from the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster carried out a strategic visit to the Querétaro International Airport to analyze its operational model and strengthen collaboration within Mexico’s aerospace industry.
The visit focused on exchanging best practices and evaluating how airport infrastructure, logistics operations and industry coordination can support the continued growth of the aerospace sector. Delegates reviewed the airport’s operational structure and its integration with the regional aerospace ecosystem.
During the tour, airport officials presented an overview of current operations, infrastructure capabilities and development plans, highlighting the airport’s role in supporting industrial activity and economic growth in the region.
The delegation also explored key areas such as commercial aviation, private aviation, cargo logistics platforms and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. These activities are considered essential for connecting aerospace manufacturing with airport operations and global supply chains.
Another key aspect of the visit was learning about the collaboration model between the airport and the local aerospace industry, which has helped position Querétaro as one of the most important aerospace hubs in Mexico.
For the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster, the visit provided an opportunity to identify strategies that could be adapted in the state to further strengthen the link between aerospace manufacturing and airport infrastructure.
Initiatives like this seek to promote greater cooperation between regional aerospace organizations, encouraging knowledge exchange and helping strengthen the competitiveness of Mexico’s aerospace industry.
