Chihuahua participates in the Paris Air Show 2025

A delegation from the state of Chihuahua is participating this week in the Paris Air Show 2025, considered one of the most important events worldwide in the aerospace industry. The mission is part of a strategy to attract investment and strengthen the sector's international ties in the state.

The delegation is made up of representatives from the Secretariat of Innovation and Economic Development (SIDE), the Secretariat of Education and Sports (SEyD), the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster, INDEX Chihuahua, as well as members of the academic and business sectors.

The event is being held from June 16 to 22 at Le Bourget Airport, north of Paris. Now in its 55th edition, it brings together more than 2,500 exhibitors from 48 countries and is expected to attract around 300,000 visitors, including leaders from some of the world's leading aerospace companies.

Prior to the opening of the event, the state delegations were received at the Mexican Embassy in France by Ambassador Blanca Jiménez Cisneros and the president of the Mexican Aerospace Industry Federation (FEMIA), Luis Manuel Azúa Sánchez.

The Mexican participation was organized by FEMIA, with support from the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster and INDEX Chihuahua. According to official data, the state currently has 45 certified companies in the sector, five original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), five design and innovation centers, and nine educational institutions with specialized programs. This infrastructure represents more than 16,000 direct jobs and annual exports of close to $2 billion.

During his speech at the event, the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Ulises Fernández Gamboa, stressed the importance of generating new international connections and strengthening Chihuahua's presence in the global aerospace industry market.

Participation in the Paris Air Show seeks to consolidate the state as an attractive destination for companies in the sector by promoting innovation, technological development, and the training of specialized talent.
