Coahuila ranks among the top states in formal employment and labor benefits

Coahuila remains among the states with the best labor indicators in the country, according to the latest data from the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE).
According to the report, the state ranks second nationally in formal employment, with 66.9% of its population employed in formal jobs. In 2024, it closed the year in first place in this indicator, with 64.6%.
In terms of labor benefits, Coahuila also ranks among the top states, with 88.3% of employed people receiving some type of benefit, placing it second nationally. The same percentage was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2024, when it ranked first.
In terms of the proportion of employed people with a written contract, the state ranks second, with 76.5%. It also ranks second in access to health institutions, with 78.5% coverage among employed people.
In terms of labor income, 77.9% of workers in Coahuila receive a salary, wage, or daily wage, also ranking second nationally. In the case of salaried female workers, the state ranks fifth, with 77.5%.
Coahuila also stands out as the state with the second-highest proportion of workers employed in the manufacturing industry, with 85.2%. It also ranks in the top 10 nationally in terms of average years of schooling of its economically active population (11.34 years) and income per hour worked.
The data correspond to the most recent quarterly and annual reports of the ENOE, prepared by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
