Companies lose over US$640,000 due to supply chain issues

According to the 2025 Global Survey, conducted by Achilles—a firm specializing in risk management and supplier performance—half of Mexican companies have experienced supply chain disruptions over the past two years; a situation that has resulted in losses exceeding US$640,000 due to supplier failures or logistical disruptions.

The study revealed that 87% of the companies surveyed believe that external pressures are now the main driver of changes in their risk management priorities.

Among the threats identified by Mexican companies, supplier financial failures top the list, cited by 22.8% of respondents. Geopolitics ranks second, at 21.8%, driven by international conflicts, trade tensions, and logistical issues. Environmental and climate phenomena were cited by 12.9%, while cybersecurity and technological risks are gaining increasing prominence.

Mexican companies are accelerating the adoption of technological tools, predictive models, and preventive strategies to reduce vulnerabilities and strengthen the continuity of their operations.
Achilles warned that organizations must transition to preventive, data-driven management models capable of anticipating threats and responding more quickly to crisis scenarios.
