Corona acquires toilet plant in Ramos Arizpe
RAMOS ARIZPE – Corona, a Colombian multinational with 140 years of business history dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of products for the home, construction, industry, agriculture and the energy sector, through its subsidiary Porcelana Corona de México S.A. de C.V., acquired the toilet plant of the German company Villeroy & Boch AG in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, to increase its installed production capacity in the country.
“The human team and the installed capacity of the sanitation plant in Ramos Arizpe will be a key factor in contributing to consolidate and strengthen Corona’s operations at the Pan-American level, as well as ensuring the supply of our clients in Mexico and other markets,” said Luis Fernando Mejía, vice president of the Corona Bath and Kitchen Business Division.
With the acquisition, Corona reaches three bathroom finishing plants in Mexico, with headquarters in Monterrey, Benito Juárez and Ramos Arizpe, where it is present with its own operation through its subsidiary Porcelana Corona de México S.A. de C.V. since 2015.
Currently, the company reaches a total of 11 finishing plants for bathrooms and kitchens, adding three in Colombia and two in the United States, as well as in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
In this way, Corona is consolidated with 28 manufacturing plants in the U.S. and Latin America of its business divisions of bathrooms, kitchens and surfaces, as well as materials and paints, industrial supplies and energy.
It should be noted that Seale & Associates was the exclusive financial advisor to Villeroy & Boch in this transition.
