COSTEP and ANAPSA discuss logistics collaborations

With the aim of strengthening binational collaboration and positioning the region as a strategic hub for the automotive industry, the Council for the Economic Progress of South Texas (COSTEP) welcomed a delegation from the National Association of Automotive Suppliers (ANAPSA), composed of key representatives from Mexico.

The visit began in the city of McAllen, where ANAPSA members were welcomed by Adam Gonzalez, CEO of COSTEP, with a welcome dinner organized to kick off a working agenda focused on showcasing the region’s logistics, industrial, and investment potential.
During their stay, the delegation will participate in a strategic tour designed to connect automotive suppliers with key economic stakeholders in South Texas, as well as with the region’s infrastructure for international trade.

Activities will continue in Brownsville, where they will hold meetings with representatives of the Port, Cameron County authorities, and the city’s economic development agencies; with sessions focused on analyzing logistics opportunities, port capabilities, and collaboration frameworks for the sector’s growth.
Finally, the visit will conclude in McAllen with a series of meetings with economic development agencies and other key entities, such as representatives from the Foreign Trade Zone and specialists in binational logistics.

This reflects the growing interest in strengthening supply chains between Mexico and the United States. ANAPSA’s presence in South Texas not only opens the door to new partnerships but also positions the South Texas Region as a key player in the future of the automotive sector in North America.
