Daimler debuts the fifth-generation Cascadia in Mexico

Daimler Truck Mexico presented the fifth-generation Freightliner Cascadia at Expo Transporte ANPACT 2025, a model that represents the brand's latest technological and efficiency developments.
The vehicle stands out for its aerodynamic improvements, which provide an additional 2.9% fuel savings compared to the previous generation and a cumulative improvement of 35% over the first version.
The new model, whose production began in the middle of the year in Saltillo with support from the Santiago Tianguistenco complex, is equipped with a Detroit Diesel DD13 engine coupled with a DT12 transmission.
The presentation was led by Marcela Barreiro, president and CEO of Daimler Truck Mexico, who highlighted the advanced technology with which the unit is equipped, both in terms of driver assistance and monitoring and connectivity.
