Desert Park to begin construction in Sonora

The construction of the new Desert Park industrial park, located on Antonio Quiroga Boulevard (Hermosillo, Sonora), will begin in the coming months, Arturo Fernández, president of Sonora Global, told local media.
The complex will cover more than 646,000 square meters, distributed across three properties focused on technology and automotive companies.
According to those involved, this project will be an important hub for attracting investment and generating jobs for the municipality.
In this context, they reported that once the urbanization work is completed, different phases focused on industrial infrastructure will begin.
The formal authorization for the Desert Park industrial park was published in the Official State Government Gazette on July 3. The document indicated an initial period of three months to complete the urbanization before building the industrial warehouses.
This process followed the guidelines established in Articles 68, 69, 73, and 74 of the State Land Use and Urban Development Law.
In addition, the file included validation of the legal representative's legal status, proof of land ownership, environmental studies, and technical reports on traffic impact and urban consistency.
It should be noted that this process was carried out and approved by the Municipal Urban Planning Institute, which has already issued favorable reports on its traffic, environmental, and urban design feasibility.
Desert Park currently has an authorized Comprehensive Environmental License, which was issued in May 2024. This was issued by the Sonora Commission for Ecology and Sustainable Development (CEDES), seeking compliance with ecological standards.
