Detroit Reman Toluca Celebrates 18 Years of Operations

Detroit Reman Toluca, Daimler Trucks' engine manufacturing plant in Mexico, celebrated 18 years of operations in which it has demonstrated innovation, sustainability, and inclusion, establishing itself as a key player for the company in Mexico and North America.

Founded in September 2007 with just 30 employees, the facility now has a workforce of nearly 400 people, including six of the 30 pioneers who are still part of the team.

In these nearly two decades, the operation has evolved to become the only Daimler Truck plant in Mexico specializing in the remanufacturing of engines, transmissions, and components, in addition to assembling dashboards for Freightliner and Western Star trucks produced in Santiago Tianguistenco.

“At Detroit Reman Toluca, we are celebrating 18 years of transforming parts and also stories. We are proud of our legacy, but above all, we are proud to project a future in which we will continue to be key players in the remanufacturing of components with innovation, value, and sustainability,” said Victor Tellez, plant director, at the ceremony.
