Diehl Aviation opens plant in Querétaro

The German company Diehl Aviation began operations at its new plant located in the El Marqués SME Industrial Park, in Queretaro with an investment of US$49.7 million and the creation of 600 highly specialized jobs.

“The fact that a company of this size is with us, with more than 600 jobs and US$48 million in investment, speaks volumes (…) In Querétaro, we believe it is the best place to invest,” said Governor Mauricio Kuri González.

With more than 122 years of history, Diehl Aviation specializes in supply systems, lavatories, and overhead compartments for aircraft. Its facility in Querétaro joins the more than 250 German companies present in the state, consolidating the entity as a national leader in the aerospace sector.

During his speech, Gunnar Schneider, coordinator of the Advisory Council of the German Embassy in Mexico, highlighted Querétaro's role in bilateral relations.

“They feel good here because Querétaro supports them (…) In a process as complex as building a plant, it is important to have this backing,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nicola Schill, general manager of Diehl Aviation in Mexico, highlighted the collective effort to bring the project to fruition: “The delivery of the building in record time is a milestone that reflects the dedication and commitment of everyone involved.”
