eBeam Agroindustrial sets up in Aguascalientes

AGUASCALIENTES - In the presence of Governor Tere Jiménez, entrepreneurs from Aguascalientes announced their decision to invest US$16 million for the creation of the company eBeam Agroindustrial in the state, which will be the first irradiation plant with eBeam/X-ray technology for food health and safety.

"It is a source of pride for Aguascalientes to have this 100% Mexican company here. I wish them every success; count on me and on the support of the State Government. We will always encourage our entrepreneurs because we want them to continue to grow and for Aguascalientes to continue to be a prosperous state," the governor told them.

Likewise, Tere Jimenez made available to them the different programs that the current state administration is promoting to support the business sector, both for financing, training and equipment, among other issues.

Members of the Board of Directors of eBeam Agroindustrial informed that the plant will start operations in the second half of July and will be located in the industrial park San Francisco de los Romo, in the municipality of San Francisco de los Romo.

They commented that this company will offer irradiation treatment services in three modalities: phytosanitary, for fresh fruits; debacterization for dehydrated or frozen products; and shelf life extension, for the agri-food sector for export or domestic consumption.

They said that eBeam Agroindustrial is a technology-based company that will generate 45 high-profile professional jobs and 6,000 indirect jobs in its first stage.

They emphasized that with the installation of this plant, service and quality standards will be improved, positioning it as a national and international reference, since it will have the most advanced and innovative technological equipment worldwide for the phytosanitary treatment of fresh, dehydrated and processed foods, as well as pet food, eliminating pathogenic microorganisms that are harmful to health.

During the meeting held at the Government Palace, the Secretary of Economic Development, Science and Technology, Esaú Garza de Vega, was also present, as well as eBeam Agroindustrial partners.
