Edgewell invests US$110 million in Aguascalientes

With an investment of US$110 million and the creation of more than 1,300 jobs, Governor Tere Jiménez officially inaugurated Edgewell's new plant in Aguascalientes. This American company manufactures personal care products.

"The arrival of this company in the logistical heart of the American continent, the Giant of Mexico, represents a major investment and a vote of confidence in the talent of the people of Aguascalientes," said the governor.

She noted that the United States is one of the state's main investment partners and the main destination for exports, as more than 83 percent of what is produced in Aguascalientes goes to the neighboring country.

Paul Hibbert, president of Edgewell Supply Chain, noted that the items produced here will be distributed in various parts of the world.

“My sincere gratitude, Tere Jiménez, for the support your entire team has given us from day one. Your vision is one of the reasons we are here. We are in the right place, and this will be one of the best companies in the world in the production of razors. Let's move forward with this vision in mind,” said Paul Hibbert.

Jessica Spence, president of Edgewell's North American business, acknowledged the support of the employees in making this project possible.

“We are approaching a century as a company since our inception, and I want to tell you that my commitment to you is clear: we are going to grow our brands and make the most of these excellent facilities,” emphasized Spence.

Esau Garza de Vega, Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology, highlighted that safety, trained personnel, a good working environment, and the strategic location of the entity are some of the determining factors in attracting investors.

“It is an honor to be here sharing a historic moment for Edgewell. Not long ago, we announced this project, and today it becomes a reality that reflects the momentum of Aguascalientes and the creation of more job opportunities,” said Garza de Vega.

The new company is located in the FINSA industrial park. It should be noted that Edgewell has a presence in more than 50 countries, with 6,800 employees and 25 brands. It is dedicated to the manufacture of products for skin protection, personal hygiene, shaving, and feminine care.
