EU-Mexico agreement opens up trade opportunities

The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in Italy (CaMexItal) and the Mexico-European Union Chamber of Commerce (MexchamEU) held a meeting at the Mexican Embassy in Italy to explore opportunities for trade under the Comprehensive Agreement between Mexico and the European Union, with the aim of strengthening bilateral economic relations.

Participants identified sectors with high potential for trade, including food, semi-finished products, machinery, automotive, and precious metals. These industries represent strategic areas for increasing Mexican exports and strengthening the presence of European companies in the country.

Likewise, the importance of creating spaces for dialogue between the private sector and institutions was emphasized to identify barriers, optimize logistics processes, and promote joint investments.

As part of the agenda, it was announced that these topics will be explored in greater depth at the Mexico-Italy Business and Investment Forum; strengthening ties between Mexico and Italy is emerging as a key element for diversifying markets and capitalizing on the global context, where the relocation of production chains opens new opportunities for the country’s economic growth.
