FAW celebrated its 71st anniversary
MEXICO - FAW Motors, a truck manufacturer in China with presence in Mexico through ELAM, celebrated its 71st anniversary as a company that revolutionizes the automotive industry thanks to its global presence, its production of more than 310,000 units per year and the provision of employment to more than 147 thousand people worldwide.
For Mexico, the celebration took place at Hacienda Santa Catarina, Hidalgo, with various activities, such as the symbolic delivery of new units to customers, the presentation of the 550D AMT model and test drives.
"We are extremely proud to share with you the 71st anniversary of FAW, a pioneer in the cargo truck sector worldwide that has earned a global reputation for its advanced technology and the durability of its vehicles," said Ernesto del Blanco, CEO of ELAM-FAW, a company that assembles and distributes cargo vehicles in Mexico.
FAW (First Automotive Works) is one of China's oldest and most respected automotive companies. Since its founding in 1953, it has gradually evolved into a giant in the global automotive industry. Founded in Changchun, Jilin Province, it is China's first automobile manufacturer. Its first vehicle, a cargo truck named "Jiefang CA10," rolled off the production line in 1956.
FAW has diversified its production to include cars, buses and commercial vehicles, forming strategic alliances with Volkswagen, Toyota and Mazda. At all times, the company invests in research and development to incorporate advanced technologies into its trucks, such as efficient engines and safety systems.
