Ford Celebrates Feedback Day with Suppliers

With the aim of raising quality standards in the supply chain and recognizing the fundamental role of its suppliers, Ford Mexico held the second edition of Supplier Quality Day.
The event brought together more than 400 attendees, including 300 suppliers, who play an essential role in the day-to-day business of manufacturing parts with the quality that characterizes the company.
During the day, significant advances in quality indicators were shared, which were achieved thanks to the daily work of all suppliers, highlighting the reduction in warranty complaints and the promotion of new engineering and manufacturing initiatives in the country.
According to the blue oval company, these achievements reflect the commitment of the automaker and its partners to maintaining the highest standards of excellence in the Mexican automotive industry, “because behind the components and parts that bring vehicles to life, there is a history of collaboration.”
“Suppliers have been key partners since the beginning of the automotive industry in the country,” said Bruno Mendoza, global director of Technical Assistance for Electrical Suppliers and National Supply Chain Leader.
The executive explained that Ford and its suppliers have paved the way together “from the first plant in San Lázaro to the development of the auto parts industry that today bears the ‘Made in Mexico’ seal around the world.”
“It is a story of mutual growth that drives us forward,” he emphasized.
For her part, Sheri Kerestman, global director of Supply Chain and Purchasing for Ford Motor Company and director of FCSD Supply Chain, underscored the role of suppliers not only in the production of new vehicles, but also in after-sales service, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
